The real payoff comes when creatures with counters die, turning those deaths into Treasure tokens, fitting perfectly in grindy goblin builds that want value from combat and benefit from repeated creature deaths

Since Ive already got an asterisk on this adventure, and Im only playing 1 investigator solo, I decided to continue my cheat of enemies dont auto engage with the investigator. In the future, I should probably play multiple investigators when playing solo, but I tried that once before and it was just very meh
