Silas Renn works well in more grindy midrange decks, allowing you to sacrifice artifacts for value and recast them
If the creature resolves, it enters the battlefield
I especially like swiping commanders with this since changing control doesnt send the commander to the command zone, forcing the impacted player to waste a removal spell on their commander before recasting it
If the plan succeeded, it would give the restored angels of New Capenna the chance they needed to turn the tide of battle across the Multiverse
When combined with zero-cost artifacts and cards that untap lands such as the two cards on this list that do that simply upon being cast it was rather trivial to produce massive amounts of mana to fuel a huge Stroke of Genius aimed at your opponent, winning you the game on the spot
If a card can be cast for free by an alternate cost, they are nearly always banned
